Capital (资本)

Capital (资本 zīběn) refers to (1) money and funds owned by an individual or organization used to invest or start a business to produce more wealth; (2) accumulated machinery and assets devoted to the production of other goods to bring in income, but which do not make money directly.

  • Capital (资本 zīběn) with explanation (2) as in human capital (人力资本 rénlì zīběn), which refers to the skills, knowledge, and abilities of an individual which could produce economic value.
