Credibility (公信力)

Credibility (公信力 gōng xìn lì) refers to the extent to which individuals and firms believe that the government will carry out promising macro-economic policies which might benefit individuals and firms.

Part 1: Breakdown of Words

” (gōng) as in “public” (公众 gōng zhòng), “firm” (公司 gōng sī), or “fair” (公平 gōng píng).

” (xìn) as in “trust” (信任 xìn rèn), “confidence” (信心 xìn xīn), “credit” (信用 xìn yòng), or “information” (信息 xìn xī).

” (lì) as in power (权力 quán lì), “capability” (能力 néng lì), or “force” (力量 lì liàng).
