Depreciation (贬值)

Depreciation (贬值 biǎnzhí) refers to a decease (贬低 biǎndī) in the price or value (价值 jiàzhí) of assets.  

  • (biǎn) contains ( bèi) which means shell or money, and ( fá) which means lack of sth.. (biǎn) as in disparaging (贬低 biǎndī) or negative words (贬义词 biǎnyìcí).
  • (zhí) as in value (价值 jiàzhí), worth (值得 zhídé) or ratio (比值 bǐzhí).
