Double coincidence of wants (需求的双向一致性 xūqiú de shuāngxiàng yīzhì xìng) refers to a situation where two parties have mutually wants that match up precisely with the goods each of them wants to trade. In simple words, they swap their goods because each of them wants the other’s goods at the same time.
- 需求 (xūqiú) derives from:
需 (xū) as in needing (需要 xūyào) or requiring (所需 suǒxū). 求 (qiú) as in requesting (要求 yāoqiú) or pursuit (追求 zhuīqiú).
需求 (xūqiú) as in user demand (用户需求 yònghù xūqiú), market demand (市场需求 shìchǎng xūqiú) or food needs (食物需求 shíwù xūqiú).
- 双向 (shuāngxiàng) as in two-way traffic (双向交通shuāngxiàng jiāotōng).
- 一致 (yīzhì) as in reaching an agreement (达成一致 dáchéng yīzhì) or identical ideas (意见一致 yìjiàn yīzhì).
