Expected rate of return (预期回报率)

Expected rate of return (预期回报率 yùqī huíbào lǜ) refers to the rate of return of an investment in the future under uncertain conditions. Most companies apply CAPM model to calculate the number.

  • 预期 (yùqī) derives from 

 (yù) as in predetermined (预设 yùshè) or preview (预习 yùxí);  (qī) as in date (日期 rìqī) or expectation (期望 qīwàng).

预期 (yùqī) as in expected return (预期收益 yùqī shōuyì) or beyond expectation (超出预期 chāochū yùqī).

  • 回报 (huíbào) derives from 

(huí) as in coming back (回来 huílái) or answering (回答 huídá); (bào) as in newspaper (报纸 bàozhǐ) or report (报告 bàogào).

回报 (huíbào) as in investment return (投资回报 tóuzī huíbào).
