Fiscal dominance (财政主导 cáizhèng zhǔdǎo) refers to a situation of fiscal dominance in which the monetary authorities ultimately have no independence. Fiscal dominance occurs when the fiscal authority is so profligate that a rigorous monetary authority is carried out to restrain the profligacy.
- 财政 (cáizhèng) as in fiscal policy (财政政策 cáizhèng) or finance minister (财政部长 cáizhèng).
- 主导 (zhǔdǎo) as in leading position (主导地位 zhǔdǎo dìwèi), leading factor (主导作用 zhǔdǎo zuòyòng) or leading force (主导力量 zhǔdǎo lìliàng).
