Inflation tax (通货膨胀税)

Inflation tax (通货膨胀税 tōnghuò péngzhàng shuì) is not an actual tax but the costs of holding cash during the time of high inflation. Inflation causes the value of cash and cash equivalents to decrease, and the inflation tax refers to the degree of this decline in value over time.
