Non-bank financial institution (非银行金融机构)

Non-bank financial institution (非银行金融机构 fēi yínháng jīnróng jīgòu) refers to the financial institution that raises funds in the form of issuing stocks and bonds, accepting credit commissions and providing insurance, and applies the funds to long-term investments. 

  • (fēi) as in extraordinary (非常 fēicháng) or unless (除非 chúfēi).
  • (yín) as in silver (银子 yínzi); (háng) as in profession (行业 hángyè) or layman (外行 wàiháng). 银行 (yínháng) means bank.
  • (jīn) as in metal (金属 jīnshǔ), gold (金子 jīnzi) or cash (现金 xiànjīn); (róng) as in melt (融化 rónghuà). 金融 (jīnróng) means finance.
  • (jī) as in chance (机会 jīhuì), mobile phone (手机 shǒujī) or airplane (飞机 fēijī); (gòu) as in structre (jiégòu). 机构 ( jīgòu) means institution or organization.
